Braintree Laboratories is a privately held pharmaceutical company that was founded in 1982 in Braintree, Massachusetts. Braintree has four prescription product lines in the US market in two therapeutic categories gastrointestinal lavages and prescription laxatives.

Braintree Laboratories is a specialty pharmaceutical company focused on the development and commercialization of products for the gastroenterology field. In addition to their internal research and development, their strategy includes acquiring and in licensing products in various niche therapeutic areas. Braintree Laboratories, Inc’s product includes Axid Oral Solution, Halflytely, Nu LYTELY, Go LYTELY, and Miralax.
Braintree Laboratories pioneered the first gastrointestinal lavage in 1984 with the introduction of Go LYTELY and electrolytes for oral solution. Go LYTELY is indicated for bowel cleansing prior to colonoscopy and barium enema X ray examination. Go LYTELY was the first to market with this innovative bowel prep technology and was soon adopted as a standard prepping procedure.
The 1990's have seen the introduction of a new generation of gastrointestinal lavages. Nu LYTELY, a reformulation of the original Go LYTELY, provides patients with an improved taste and a 52 percent less sodium alternative to the other lavages on the market. The Nu LYTELY brand has since branched into 4 line extensions which include Cherry Flavored Nu LYTELY, Lemon Lime Flavored Nu LYTELY, Orange Flavored Nu LYTELY and Nu LYTELY with Flavor Packs.
Braintree Laboratories is a fully integrated pharmaceutical company maintaining its own manufacturing facilities, warehousing operations, sales and marketing divisions and a pioneering research and development team.
