Ligand was incorporated in 1987. Ligand is an emerging specialty pharmaceutical company that discovers, develops and markets innovative small molecule drugs to address critical, unmet medical needs. Ligand markets four oncology and dermatology products in the United States Ontak, Targretin capsules, Targretin gel and Panretin gel. Ligand's fifth and newest product, Avinza is a treatment for chronic, moderate to severe pain.
