Paddock Laboratories, Inc.
A drug manufacturer is a business entity engaged in making, assembling, processing or modifying devices, or mixing, producing or preparing drugs in dosage forms by encapsulating, entableting or other process, or packaging, repackaging or otherwise changing the container, wrapper or label of any package containing a drug or device in furtherance of the distribution of the drug or device from the original place of manufacture to the person who makes final delivery or sale to the ultimate consumer.
Paddock Laboratories is a privately held niche based pharmaceutical company located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Bruce Paddock, President, founded the business in 1977 with only three employees. Today, Paddock employs over 250 people in the areas of Product Development, Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, Operations, Finance & IT, Sales & Marketing. Paddock is proud of its growth and quality pharmaceuticals and is committed to bringing new branded generics to the marketplace. Esmolol Hydrochloride is a product of Paddock Laboratories, Inc.indicated for supraventricular tachycardia and intraoperative and postoperative tachycardia and/or hypertension. Esmolol Hydrochloride is contraindicated in patients with sinus bradycardia, heart block greater than first degree, cardiogenic shock or overt heart failure. In clinical trials 20 to 50percent of patients treated with esmolol have experienced hypotension, generally defined as systolic pressure less than 90 mmHg and/or diastolic pressure less than 50 mmHG. About 12percent of the patients have been symptomatic mainly diaphoresis or dizziness. Hypotension can occur at any dose but is dose-related so that doses beyond 200mcg/kg/min 0.2 mg/kg/min are not recommended. Patients should be closely monitored, especially if pretreatment blood pressure is low. Decrease of dose or termination of infusion reverses hypotension, usually within 30 minutes.
Paddock is a high volume manufacturer of bioequivalent generic pharmaceuticals and OTC specialty products. They are committed to improving the health and quality of life for millions of people by bringing safe, effective and affordable pharmaceuticals to market.
