Pedinol is a specialty pharmaceutical company focusing primarily on treatments for podiatric, pediatric and dermatological conditions. The firm has been consistent in providing product innovation in a broad range of therapeutic categories including fungal infections, xerosis and verrucae. Dr. Harry Goldwag, a pioneer in the podiatry profession, founded Pedinol in the early 1920’s. His goal was to make Pedinol a company that focused on the needs of podiatrists and their patients. Their first product, Hydrisinol Creme, a moisturizer for the feet, is still marketed and maintains a loyal following among podiatrists. Richard Strauss, R.Ph. purchased the company in 1969. Under his leadership, the firm continued its tradition of focusing on the needs of the podiatrist and has grown to become a leader in the field of podiatric pharmaceuticals. Pedinol was the first company to receive the American Podiatric Medical Association’s Seal of Approval in 1983. Today, ten of Pedinol’s products bear the APMA seal. First product Fungoid Tincture is a nonprescription medication used in the treatment for certain infections of the skin. Podiatrists have recommended Fungoid Tincture since as early as 1925 .Second product is Lactinol, an alpha-hydroxy acid, is a prescription medication used to treat dry skin . It helps maintain the overall health of the skin. Lactinol is a triple action therapy, which generally leads to rapid improvement of symptoms in dry skin. Lactinol exfoliates dead surface skin cells, helping your skin to return to normal function Lactinol draws moisture from deep within your skin to the outer skin layers Lactinol locks in the skin’s own moisture. Lazerformalyde is a prescription medication used in the treatment of warts. It may also be used to dry excessive moisture of the feet.
