Zanaflex: Relaxing Injured Muscles
Zanaflex is a muscle relaxant also called Tizanidine which is utilized to relax some muscles of the body injured by some problems such like spinal damage or multiple sclerosis. As other medicines, it may be prescribed to treat other injuries, but in that case, you have better ask your doctor before using it to treat other problems. You can find Zanaflex in tablets that must be taking orally, normally two or three times daily.
As you already know, it is important to take some precautions before taking a medicament. Some of the precautions you must consider before taking Zanaflex are to inform your doctor if you are allergic to Zanaflex or other medicines or if you suffer or have suffered liver or kidney illnesses. In case of being a woman, you must tell your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to. Moreover, if you are taking other medicines involving those that may produce drowsiness, high blood pressure and others, always remember that it is very important to inform your doctor about these and other recommendations before taking a new medicament.
All drugs have secondary effects, and Zanaflex is not the exception to this situation; however, its side effects are not as serious as others. Inform your doctor if you have one or several of these symptoms: stomach ache, vomiting, drowsiness, dry mouth, muscle spasm, dizziness or tingling sensation in the legs, arms, feet or hands. In case you experience one or more of these symptoms, call your doctor. If you have any other question about Zanaflex, contact your doctor or pharmacist and ask him/her your doubts no matter what they are about, and follow the instructions of the prescription.
